Clemson University Diversity Scholarships: These scholarships were created to assist competitive students who come from underserved backgrounds afford an education at Clemson. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship when they apply to Clemson University, provided that their application is received prior to the December 1st deadline. Students are selected for this scholarship based on a combination of interpersonal skills, work experience, community service, previous academic merit, and their unique background and personal experiences. Restricted Scholarships: These scholarships are open to both first-time freshmen and returning undergraduate students. Students are required to complete a FAFSA application in order to be considered for these awards. In general, students are selected for this award based on a combination of their high school GPA and scores on the ACT or SAT exam. However, for returning students, only their grade point average from Clemson will be factored into the decision making process. Students who transfer to Clemson can also be considered for this scholarship after they have finished one semester at the university. Michelin Annual Scholarship Program: This scholarship is open exclusively to students who are planning to major in an area related to engineering, computing, or applied sciences. Additionally, the student must show dedication to learning French and could have the opportunity to work in the Michelin Facilities through an internship. Only students who have at least a 3.0 GRA will be considered for this scholarship. The award provides a scholarship worth $2,000 to three different students. Students must apply by April 21st.
