LGBT Scholarships Guide

LGBT Scholarships

There are more LGBT scholarships available today than ever before, for promising students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender persons. These scholarships will allow you to achieve your full academic potential, despite the obstacles sometimes put before you. LGBT scholarships have come into great demand and it is getting very competitive for applicants. Unfortunately, the costs of higher education have risen dramatically over the last decade. Keeping up with these costs is tough, but LGBT scholarships can help many LGBT students and their families keep up without using student loans.

Using your potential will help you to create social change by actively challenging the attitudes towards LGBT students and professionals that contribute to prejudice and social stigma.

As an LGBT student, you may have already overcome many hardships and obstacles as you have pursued your education goals. Some applicants have even experienced rejection from their traditional families, which may include a cut-off from financial support.

When you apply for an LGBT scholarship, the school or organization offering it will consider various factors when they assess applicants. These include leadership, personal merit, academic achievement, financial need and personal goals.

LGBT scholars have a track record of proven scholastic achievement and leadership, and a desire to have a positive influence on the world. They are ready for graduation and a chance to make an impact on our society. At Weird Scholarships we put together a list of the top LGBT scholarships available.

Below you will find LGBT scholarships for students. If you meet their requirements, you may be able to secure financial aid for college from one or more.
